As the Founder and President of APC Construction, LLC, Keith is responsible for overall business operations, client development, high-level recruitment efforts, marketing, and executing growth strategy for APC’s Heavy/Civil, Deep Foundations, Power Services, and Industrial Service Divisions. After graduating from Louisiana State University, Keith worked for an environmental contractor prior to starting APC in 2006, knowing early on in his professional career that his goal was to establish and cultivate a thriving construction firm. Under his entrepreneurial leadership, APC has successfully grown into one of the premier contractors servicing Industrial, Federal, and Energy clients across the country and abroad.
Keith named his company after his late father, Dr. Armengol Porta Caldera, a cardiologist who emigrated to the United States from communist Nicaragua in the late 1970’s. He ingrained in Keith the core values of hard work, perseverance, dedication, and the importance of the “work-family”, and these values are the cornerstone on which the company has found success. Keith is heavily involved in the Southern Region Minority Supplier Development Council as a Board Member holding the position of the Regional MBEIC Chair servicing Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Arkansas.
